SharePoint Farm Administrator – Location: Huntsville, AL – Clearance: Active Secret clearance

Responsibilities:

  • Perform site and site collection configuration, administration, support, and maintenance for testing, production and disaster recovery SharePoint environments.
  • Provide and support governance policies and procedures including change management, perform an assessment of design changes and impact and ensures compliance with governance policies, information architecture and other organizational policies.
  • Provide Tier III support to the service desk and Tier II support to specialists for incidents and problems related to SharePoint sites and site collections; ensures expedient resolution and high customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures and techniques for the resolution of system problems to ensure maximum system availability and performance levels.
  • Manage site and site collection features, functionality, user permissions.
  • Ensure sites and site collections are configured in compliance with local policies and configuration standards.
  • Support web content managers in the use of, e.g. web part pages, web part configuration, built-in lists and document libraries, custom lists and libraries, InfoPath forms, workflows, javascript/html/css, etc.
  • Manage SharePoint projects and builds solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Create and maintain SP 2007, 2010, and 2013 Dev Images.
  • Develop skills in deployment of custom SharePoint solutions.
  • Provide coordinated support in troubleshooting custom code during approved maintenance windows.
  • Create, Review, Update, Execute PowerShell scripts for automating tasks and reporting.
  • Support all server, application, and OS level patching during approved maintenance windows.
  • Support development team throughout process; development, QA, UAT testing, and production deployment.
  • Utilize Central Admin, stsadm and PowerShell to implement configuration changes and meet customer requirements.
  • Design, develop, and manage SharePoint sites to facilitate collaboration and resource sharing.
  • Design, implement, operate, maintain and optimize databases, database components (e.g. tables, indexes, procedures, queries/views, maintenance plans, etc.) and database security (table/view/procedure permissions).
  • Create new databases and database instances in support of SharePoint Farm growth, development efforts, and the migration of existing instances as needed.
  • Proactively manage the servers by reviewing the appropriate logs, performance metrics, and manage storage resources.
  • Analyze, monitor, and troubleshoot hourly, daily, and weekly loads of production data.
  • Ensure the overall health and availability of database objects by regularly verifying data integrity, and implementing disaster recovery (backup and restore) procedures.
  • Manage all nodes of the failover cluster and ensures the health and availability of all cluster resources.
  • Utilize available third party applications for database management (Quest SpotLight, LightSpeed, etc), as well as native SQL Server management tools.
  • Ensure health of database and perform backup processes
  • Ensure full database functionality to meet customer requirements while adhering to DoD/DISA mandates.
  • Strictly adheres to the customer’s processes and procedures for approving system maintenance and overall change management.
  • Performs other related assignments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • 4 year Information Technology related degree
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 compliancy
  • At least 4 years of SharePoint farm administration/maintenance experience and SQL Server experience
  • Experience with SharePoint 2007 and 2010. Experience with 2013 is a plus.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully collaborate with team members
