Microsoft awards New Competencies and Business-Critical SharePoint Program enrollment for Summit 7 Systems

Huntsville, AL, August 14, 2012:

Summit 7 Systems, a company focused on the next generation of Microsoft products, announced receiving new Microsoft competencies, as well as qualifying for the Business-Critical SharePoint program for 2013. Upgrading Content Management to Gold and adding Project and Portfolio Management, Mobility, Hosting, and Midmarket Solution Provider as Silver competencies allow Summit 7 Systems to continue to deliver thoughtful business solutions to their customers.

“Attaining the additional Gold and Silver Microsoft competencies demonstrates our level of industry experience and gives us the opportunity to differentiate our business by delivering an all-around business solution,” said Edwards, President and Managing Partner at Summit 7 Systems. “To support this, the additional competencies provide access to relevant updates, resources, tools, and training for Microsoft business technologies—all of which translate into better, more powerful solutions for our customers. This has truly been a team effort and we have been honored to receive such recognition that puts our team in the top 1% of Microsoft Partners worldwide.”

To earn a Microsoft gold competency, partners must successfully complete exams to become Microsoft Certified Professionals-proving their level of technology expertise, and then designate these certified professionals uniquely to one Microsoft competency, ensuring a certain level of staffing capacity. They also must submit customer references that demonstrate successful projects through a yearly customer satisfaction study, meet a revenue commitment (for most gold competencies), and pass technology and sales assessments.*

In addition to the new Microsoft Gold and Silver competencies, Summit 7 Systems has also been awarded admission to the Business-Critical SharePoint (BCSP) program for 2013. The BCSP is a select group of partners working with Microsoft to help customers connect SharePoint to existing line-of-business (LOB) systems and expand their SharePoint practices into business-critical solutions. Ben Curry, Principal Architect and Managing Partner at Summit 7 Systems, has been showing organizations how to get more value out of their SharePoint and LOB systems for many years. ”Becoming part of the BCSP program is a great opportunity and we are so glad to be part of the Microsoft innovative to expand SharePoint into solutions for our customers evolving needs,” said Curry.
