Microsoft taps Summit 7 Systems for the Business-Critical SharePoint Program and Awards Additional Competencies

Today Summit 7 Systems announced receiving new Microsoft competencies, as well as being chosen for the Business-Critical SharePoint program for 2013. The additional competencies put Summit 7 Systems into the top 1% of all Microsoft Partners worldwide. Summit 7 Systems added the Gold Content Management competency as well as Silver competencies in Project and Portfolio Management, Mobility, Hosting, and Midmarket Solution Provider. These additional capabilities demonstrate Summit 7 Systems’ commitment to deliver thoughtful business solutions across multiple technologies and platforms.

“Attaining the additional Gold and Silver Microsoft competencies demonstrates our level of industry experience and gives us the opportunity to differentiate our business by delivering an all-around business solution,” said Scott Edwards, President and Managing Partner at Summit 7 Systems. “The additional competencies provide access to important updates, programs, resources, tools, and training for Microsoft business technologies—all of which translate into relevant, more powerful solutions for our customers. This has truly been a team effort and we are honored to receive the recognition that puts our team in the top 1% of Microsoft Partners .”

To earn a Microsoft gold competency, partners must successfully complete exams to become Microsoft Certified Professionals-proving their level of technology expertise, and then designate these certified professionals uniquely to one Microsoft competency, ensuring a certain level of staffing capacity. They also must submit customer references that demonstrate successful projects through a yearly customer satisfaction study, meet a revenue commitment (for most gold competencies), and pass technology and sales assessments.*

In addition to the new Microsoft Gold and Silver competencies, Summit 7 Systems has also been awarded admission to the Business-Critical SharePoint (BCSP) program for 2013. The BCSP is a select group of partners working with Microsoft to help customers merge SharePoint with existing line-of-business (LOB) systems to deliver business-critical solutions.

Ben Curry, Principal Architect and Managing Partner at Summit 7 Systems, has been showing organizations how to get more value out of their SharePoint and LOB systems for many years. ”Becoming part of the BCSP program is a great opportunity and we are so glad to be part of the Microsoft initiative to leverage SharePoint within our customer’s business critical environments,” said Curry.
