Quite often, an IT Pro is forced into the Cloud after their leadership decided it was the right thing to do. “We’re moving to the Cloud, and you’re going to manage it.” This can seem like an overwhelming and daunting task. In order to successfully manage the Cloud, someone working in IT must have a mix of skills that don’t fit neatly into either of two traditional categories: IT Pro or Developer. You must be able to understand infrastructure, write scripts, understand authentication and authorization (OAuth vs. SAML vs. WS-FED), and be comfortable in Visual Studio. They’re not Devs, and they’re not quite IT Pros. They’re Cloud Pros.
Join Summit 7 Systems’ resident Cloud Pro, Brian Laws, as he discusses this new Cloud Pro role.
